Western greeted freshmen and transfer students last week with a surplus of activities to participate in as part of New Student Week. From scavenger hunts to bingo, students new to the Monmouth campus were supplied with an endless array of fun by the PLUS Team. Over the course of the week, there were more than 180 activities and events put on.
Continuing in Western's long and proud tradition, this year's freshmen and transfer students left their mark in wet cement by Arbor Park. Despite high temperatures, the new students took their precious time in creating their permanent signatures-timeless John Hancocks.
The sidewalk-autograph event was one of the many activities planned by the Peer Leaders Understanding Students (PLUS) team for New Student week.
Other activities included new student barbeque, various lectures-such as financial aid counseling, transfer student orientation, writing college papers and how to get involved with school-New Student week dance, Residential Hall Association (RHA) bingo, speed dating and bunco.
