Annual tuition for 15 credit hours per term will cost $3,429 for the 2005-2006 academic year-the lowest rate of the seven public universities in Oregon.
The highest tuition is $4,365 at Eastern Oregon University, which is closely followed by University of Oregon, where annual tuition costs $4,356.
Western, like all Oregon public universities, saw an increase in overall tuition rate for this academic year. The tuition raise was 6 percent-a $189 increase from last year's cost of $3,240.
