In response to last weeks Journal article we- the Club Team Coalition (CTC)- felt it necessary to update everyone who supported us on the progress of the field project initiative. For those not aware of the CTC initiative, it is our goal to have a dedicated operational field by spring for our respective sports. We want the students, faculty, staff, and administration to know that we want grass to be the only factor keeping the field from being operational this spring.

Last week our coalition met with President Minahan, who openly discussed the progress of the field. In the meeting with the President, he gave the CTC his word that the grass would be the only limiting factor to making the fields playable by spring. We thank President Minahan for meeting with us and addressing some of our concerns.

In spite of the fact that the basis of this project was for clubs sports use, roughly two months into the project, primary usage of the fields has now come into question. With this understanding, we have decided to shift our focus to whom exactly the fields are being built for.

Seeing that this field was intended for the clubs sports of the student body from its inception, we request your continued voice and support to ensure the project will be built for what it was intended for.

Respectfully yours,
The Club Team Coalition
