In Thursday's loss to Northwest Nazarene, Stacey Bennett (junior) led the Wolves' attack with 14 kills. Amy Herron (sophomore) led the team's defense with 14 digs. Kayla Mainer (junior) continued her consistent play with 8 kills and 11 digs. The Wolves' record against Northwest Nazarene is now 3-3; both teams have enjoyed sweeps at home against each other.
On Saturday, the Wolves traveled to Seattle to take on Seattle Pacific whom they had swept on Oct. 20. The Wolves were not able to get anything going against the Redhawks either. Mainer led the Wolves offensively with 10 kills during that game. Mainer and team captain Claire Carpenter (senior) led the Wolves defensively with 11 digs each.
The Wolves return this week to practice for a short weekend road trip to take on the in Lacey, Wash. Saints of St. Martin's University. The Saints are next to last in the conference, but the Wolves will not underestimate them. Head coach Joe Houck will have his team prepared to play next Saturday, and then ready to come home and face both Alaska Fairbanks on Nov. 1 and Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 3. Lets hope the Lady Wolves can start another winning streak this weekend that will take them to the top of the GNAC's standings. •
